7 buddies go upstairs during a frat party and find a girl passed out on a bed in one of the bedrooms. They'd been drinking and partying and caught up in the moment of having a good time when the "leader" of the group decides it would be fun to watch the "weakest" member of the group fuck the girl. (Yeah, social groups have pecking orders)
The other 5 guys follow the "leaders" suggestion and join in and start encouraging the "weakest" to do it.
With all the noise in the room the girl wakes up and upon looking around quickly realizes the situation she's in and with a distraught face begins to protest.. "No, I don't want to"....
The "leader", upon hearing the girl protest threatens the girl "Shut up bitch, you either let him fuck you or I'll punch you in the face"
The "weakest" member, who along with everyone else in the room, knows the girl doesn't want to participate in the activity says "but I don't want to hurt her"...... then begins fucking her anyway to the delight of the other 6 guys in the room...
After it's over the girl, who is still in a room with the 7 guys says "That was good - you gave it to me hard" in the hopes of being able to get out of the room without any further threats or repercussions from the "leader", collects her clothes and leaves....

Who's at fault in the above scenario - the 6 buddies doing the encouraging or the one who actually sticks his dick in the girl?
While guilt could be discerned in varying degrees..... in the above scenario they all are guilty and for any one of them to say "I did nothing wrong" is just rediculous.
No, Brooke wasn't asleep (as in the above scenario) but was she aware of what was going to happen or maybe she knew a strap-on was going to be used but was unaware of its' size? I can't answer that but to me, even if she did know it wouldn't matter.
No means no.
Hell, it was a radio show and radio shows don't come with visuals so they could have used a pencil sized dildo (or one Brooke would have been comfortable with) and for the purpose of the radio show publicity - it wouldn't have mattered. Who chose the size of the dildo? Why did it have to be a large one? Why were other sizes not available? The comments I read about "your girl not going to be on top of my girl", "my girl using a huge dildo on your girl" gives me the implication that it was a humiliation scenario setup from the start - but that's just the implication I get.
No, Brooke wasn't physically threatened as in the above scenerio - but if a threat to her livelyhood was made - a threat is still a threat. To what degree the effects of that threat affected and pressured Brooke into following through with the event had on her - we, as individuals, especially individuals who were not actually present in the room at the time, can not say.
As for me, if someone threatened me with an ass whooping I'd say take your best shot and wouldn't lose any sleep over it but threaten my ablity to take care of my family and be in a position to do so - then that person's face is going to make it on the side of a milk carton with folk wondering whatever happend to _______ ...." is a reaction that pops into my mind for dealing with it. The point - we all perceive and react to threats differently.
Until the show is over and she could leave the room any implied threat would have remained valid and Brooke would have had to continue the charade. Continuing the interview after the event was over would be understandable.

Maybe I'm different, but if I really don't want to hurt somone - I don't do whatever it is they are concerned about. I feel that when the event continued on - that's where the line was crossed and you can start assigning the blame and everyone needs to hold out their cup to get their share of it.
The guy that robs a bank and accidentally drops the gun, it goes off and shoots a customer dead still gets brought up on murder charges. The fact that he "didn't mean to hurt anyone" and is otherwise a really a nice guy is irrelevant.
