I tend to think the fact that we feel bad for the tortured little boy just shows there are still a few good people among us who care.

Believing that his soul is now "in peace and protected" is all fine...but how can one love a so-called benevolent god that allows such things to happen to an innocent and handicapped child in the first place?
Sorry...but I have no desire to even try to understand or explain a god in this context.
