Doesn't point towards any sort of higher power.
Believing that his soul is now "in peace and protected" is all fine...but how can one love a so-called benevolent god that allows such things to happen to an innocent and handicapped child in the first place?
Sorry...but I have no desire to even try to understand or explain a god in this context.

you cannot look up to God as a protector, you know you have free will, wheteher or not you think God gave that to you it is up to you to decide, and ovviously believe in no God.
that is fine i respect your belief but try to understand mine, i think God is there to protect the innocent in a time of death, i feel a soul inside me, i can feel a driving force of good and evil in the world.
i do not try to explain it because i am merely a human, but it does not mean i do not believe in a God.
