I am sorry for writing this on GFY, i just think it will be easier to give people a link to this thread rather than explaining things over and over again via icq, email etc... when I am feeling more motivated I will install wordpress and start keeping a blog about this...
It is 6.48 here.. I got smashed last night in an attempt to forget what happened yesterday... it did not work..
Please don't get me wrong, I KNOW that many people are in a worse place than me, or have been in worse situations than me.. In this thread, I am being selfish, and I am willing to admin that.. in the real world, I am NOT being sellfish, I am spending all the time I can comforting my father and grandmother..
My father went to see his doctor because he was having to go to the toilet a LOT more than usual (number 1)... they took some piss samples and blood samples... he has had blood in his piss since he was in his twenties, since a farm wall rushed and landed on him.. so we did not worry about that to much.. but last Friday, his doctor called him, and told him that they had found a lot of toxins in his urine..
The thought that this might be due to his enlarged prostate (which was diagnosed many years ago), but the level of blood and toxins was enough for them to fast forward the hospital appointment.. this was on Friday... anyone who knows about the NHS knows following is a bad sign... On Monday they called and told him he had to attend the hospital on Wednesday morning (yesterday) for an ultrasound and something else (I can't remember what it is called, but it basically involved a finger up the arse followed by a camera down the cock)...
The ultrasound showed a lot of 'Debris' in his bladder... the camera showed much worse... A tumor.. we don't know if it is malignant or not yet, he has to go in for a biopsy to find out... the biggest kicker is... they said he would be to 'shook up' to complete a preadmittance form (he was totally calm, I was freaking out a little).. so he has to wait for an appointment to do that, BEFORE, he gets an appointment for his biopsy... talk about fucking bureaucracy gone mad... No wonder the NHS is so glogged up... I have the form they want him to fill in, I was with him, and could have completed it for him in five minutes flat... he could have confirmed and signed it.
We do not know yet if his life is in danger - but I do know the word malignant means spreading, and will kill you, I am not going to look on wikipedia and frighten myself until I know the results of the biopsy..
My fathers mother (grandma) has always been a very nervous person... after my mother died, she used to come and take care of me... if my dad was five minutes late, she would automatically assume he was lying dead in a ditch somewhere.. (this is a side issue, but she lost both of her parents in a house fire when she was 9). So she is freaking out more than anyone, and her health is not good.. The state she is in now, I am worried will cause a heart attack or something.
I will try to be online as much as possible, my sites are rocking, my designers are all hard at work... so nothing should change their... but please do not expect fast answers from me personally any time soon... I usually keep my private life private... But when it comes to family stuff, I have to put them first, and feel I should explain myself to the people I deal with.
