this is very close to the truth - the more fingers pointing away from you - the less someone will judge how your doing.
Remember that most webmasters/posters are either barely making a living or surfers trying to stir up shit to get attention because they are bored with their life. It also seems that normal business ethics that were common in the industry many years back are now thrown out the window as 'gang-like' mentality takes over and calling each other names seems to be the way of getting enough attention so that someone clicks on your sig.
