In high school, when the Philadelphia Flyers won the Stanley Cup, we all went to the celebration downtown. When the crowds headed back to the train station some idiot locked the doors to the terminal thinking too many people were going to try and come into the tracks area and the crowds kept pushing forward. The people at the front had no were to go and all the guys there started to realize everyone would get crushed in a few minutes if we didn't do something.
So we figured fuck it lets just start wild wild west punching people out and start a massive fight fest and that should reverse the backwards momentum like dominos. So we all turned into the crowd and just started throwing punches and anything else we could pickup off the ground, some guys even started swinging their souvenier hockey sticks.
Needless to say it turned into total pandamonium and people were indeed reversing back so nobody ended getting crushed, but then everyone was stumbling and falling over each other so a lot of people got kind of trampled. Bloody noses all over the place.
Don't know if anyone else has been to a sports event, but this is where a lot of crushing stuff and then riots happen. I'll tell you serioiusly it was one of the scariest feelings in the world to feel all those people just pushing foward and your ribs being pressed tighter and tighter.
