The damage starts within the company which does not maintain a high standard of business practises. Its employees see the example set by the company and follow its lead. It would not be human nature to do otherwise. In this particular context you can extend that to the company's affiliates. Somewhere down the line that translates into additional costs via theft, fraud and the like.

Some of those affiliates are themselves sponsors. For example, I noticed a couple of days ago that a Silver Cash exit console goes to AFF. That sends out a negative message to their employees and affiliates.

In fact, the major issue with AFF, cams.com, SexSearch and other large operations which work with and/or tolerate scumware, file-swapping sites and so on, is the message they are sending to the whole industry. Even those who profit from Zango must recognize they have crossed the line of legitimate competition and basically their activities are telling everyone that is okay.

Which is about as short-sighted as it is possible to get, because while you may be holding a gun on someone today, only a fool tells himself the day will never come that the gun is pointed at him. The reality that instability ultimately damages everyone, is why every industry quickly moves out of the "wild west" phase.

That transition is already under way. If AFF and the others involved with Zango don't want to end up as footnotes in this industry's history, they will have to bow to that inevitability within the next few years. When they try to accomplish that about-face, then they will count the real cost of their current activities.

Well said...
