Actually no one owns the words Lord of the Rings anymore, copyrights run out 75 years after a work was created, so hence when Tolkein first published his book in like gee 1923 ?... Its over...
Why do you think they finally made a movie about it, Tolkein is dead, 75 years ran out they made a movie. Nuff said
