You lived together for a while after breaking up if I recall correctly. Were it me, the legal issues would have been top priority.

There were still a lot of loose ends. Much more than anticipated. Belinda was lucky enough to move out of the area and to her out of sight is out of mind.
And up until she started making it clear that she wanted to be with Mark (which was after she moved out) the plan had always been to take a break from each other and try again in a few months. We both thought some breathing room would do us good and we'd be able to work things out.
But then she decided to move in with Mark, and everything went downhill even more than it already was.
