Well.. The average extraction cost per barrel is currently sitting at $35... Sure the Saudi's can do it for $9... but then lets forget about extraction and sales tax (different to the fuel levy people cry about - I mean the tax that pretty much any resource company has to pay for depleting natural resources.. it's quite high, especially on oil, and nothing to do with Arabs all countries have it, some of the worst aren't arab - Vietnam I'm talking to you.).. shipping and sales and then of course basic supply and demand.. but sure it's definately only worth 17% of the average extraction cost - A porsche is only $2000 of raw minerals too... damn those automaker bastards.
