i am not defending the guys actions in any way, however i don't agree with the tactics used to snare him. sometimes you have to check your judgement and look at the situation. now had they laid out a trap and they guy walked into it. fine. but to me, this just sounds like they're out creating criminals. supply and demand as an argument for these tactics does not fly. they created a supply, and marketed that supply. the guy may very well have never done anything illegal up until this point in his life, and may have never considered it until having it offered it up to him int his fashion. go after people who are seeking it, setup a honeypot, track those who are actively engaging in the trade. don't go out creating criminals so you can say you're making grounds.
if you start allowing the law to pull fast ones like this and accept it as a justifiable action, simply because you hate the person they are after, it opens their freedom to stretch the rules in other cases too. even though you, and any sane person, would thoroughly despise the guy for his crime, doesn't mean you should just overlook the fact methods of entrapment were used to lure him out for an arrest...
