Gates was the one that took apple's "point and click windows" and made it available to the masses by opening it up to any PC platform. Apple was on 'windows' for quite a while before Windows adopted it.

i think the reason his os is better is because they control what hardware is exactly used. I think if you had a $300 computer and the os was only for the exact parts in it. It would run as well as a mac.
