Warhammer ended up sucking, in my opinion. The first few hours it was awesome, but things like the lack of balance quickly ended up killing it.
AoC... not even worth talking about.
WoW after WotLK has just become more of the same stupid grind, only easier. It took me only a few weeks to turn an old level 63 ret pally into an 80 with full epics. The fact that it's easy is not the problem, though. The real problem is that it combines a heavy required time investment with progress that goes far too quickly.
LOTRO is like a lesser version of WoW - not really worth playing.
The only great MMORPG out there right now is Eve Online. Its only problems are that gameplay can be rather boring at times, and that it's a very specific genre. Progress, difficulty, player effect on the game world, etc. are all executed better than in virtually any other game.
An upcoming game with great potential is The Old Republic. It's being developed by Bioware and they claim it's story-driven instead of grind-driven. If they can keep that promise, it might become the first MMORPG to really surpass WoW.
