I forgot one thing... if you go into the vbulletin admin...

vbulletin options> cookies and http header options> session timeout>

there's a number value which is measured in seconds...

I cannot remember how many seconds vbulletin has as a default, but typically something like phpbb uses 5 minutes which is 300 seconds.

It was a simple test, but logging into SC resulted in at least 24 hours of your account showing up in the "Who's Online" list. For this to occur an administrator MUST HAVE set this value to at least 86400 seconds.

Supermoderators do not have access to this part of the vbulletin admin, so it really boils down to one person. A person who had everything to gain by his forum showing 2000+ people currently online 24 hours a day.

In legal speak,I think they call it "Cui Bono".
