On a mac (And probably Windows- idk) you open a photo, set it for "record actions" - apply the settings you want - size, bit depth, color mode, - save that action and apply it to any folders you want to...
someone else can probably explain this better...
I like the fact that Windows has sweet freeware like "fast stone photo resizer" that will do it all for you toot sweet.
