Did I say you CANNOt get arrested for protesting in America?
however, these are the people CHAINING THEMSELVES BLOCKING doors at abortion clinics or threatening violence etc...
Do NOT ever confuse peaceful protesting, which we have enjoyed the "right" to long before a Bill of Rights or the Constitution, with protesting that can get you arrested, there is a big difference.
You can gather and peacefully protest in America and never fear arrest, you will never change that no matter how afraid of public protest YOU ARE. The fact is, maybe you need to read up on rights in America...
Quote:
The right to peacefully assemble to express concern about all matters of public policy is older than the formation of this country and is the foundation of our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. When colonists felt the burden of excessive taxation during English rule, their first step as subjects of the rule of law of England was to address their concerns to the magistrates and officials of their day. The very act of expressing dissent is a hallmark of an engaged community.

Ive seen over 100,000 people in the streets of LA protest, sure some got arrested for throwing bottles, but that will never stop the right for us to gather. Educate yourself.
