You are so far from right you can't even see it from where you are standing. Not only did this guy NOT deserve to get beat he is 100% correct in everything he did. We live in a country that has given us the protection against such actions in the 4th Amendment.
The Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution is the part of the Bill of Rights which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures.

And of course the Border Patrol have a job to do... AT THE BORDER. OF MEXICO AND THE USA... Not the border of California and Phoenix. No state... now listen good. NO STATE has the right nor the power to deny you ANY of the rights set forth by the Government.
And reading some of your other posts in this thread it is obvious you will be one of the sheep lining up to do whatever you are told to do, regardless of the infringements upon your rights as a United States citizen. This guy should be applauded for what he did. He stood up for his rights as well as every other citizens out there. I hope he sues the shit out of them and those assholes, the very ones the soil the image of law enforcement everywhere, lose their jobs.
