It doesnt matter if you are for or against her answer at least she was honest compared to the ususal canned response of "l want to save the world " type statement

at least she spoke her mind so we could realize which bible thumping idiot NOT to award the crown to....
as Perez Hilton said on Larry King, "Miss USA should inspire and unite. Her comment isolated millions of gay and lesbian Americans, their friends, family coworkers and supporters."
As for her not giving a PC answer-Miss USA is supposed to represent the country-she SHOULD be PC and diplomatic. She shouldn't be outright denying the rights of certain groups of people.
Her answer as to WHY gays shouldn't marry was ridiculous. She should have gone with the old "leave it up to the states," answer.
She also said "in my country people can choose gay or straight marriage" or something along those lines.
Last time I checked, apart from 4 states-you can't choose a gay marriage.
As a resident of California I found her answer insulting and disgusting and was very happy Ms. NC won...
I wouldn't have wanted some lunatic Christian with backwards beliefs representing my country anyways....bleechhh
