9 times out of 10 when a thief steals a purse, they just take the cash, credit cards, things of value they can pawn or sell and toss the rest in the nearest dumpster. They are looking for the immediate payoff. Pretty sure you have nothing to worry about. I have had two purses stolen in my life (one even had a certified copy of my birth certificate in it) and I have never had anyone try to break into my home from it.
You can always get some fake security system stickers and put them all over your door. That should deter any crackhead from kicking the door in.
