Anna didn't have much choice as she was killed in a car accident. If that had not happened she would still be a top star in this biz.
As far as how long do they last...I think it's really dependent on each individual performer. Some of them literally come and go. While others realize that they can have a long and lucrative career.
Right now Nina Hartley can make more money than she ever did. The milf niche is the most profitable there is, and with her branded name...she comes to the game with millions of fans already there. Unfortunately I don't think that Vicky Vette is promoting her correctly or that her site is set up right. I think I could take that over and make it a million dollar a year site. But it would take a focused vision, good writing of the scenes, correct camera angles and letting Nina's personality shine through.
Anyway, that's my thought. I think that pornstars have the same ability as musicians to grow old with their audience. It's just gonna take the smart ones to do it. My plan is...in 40 years Claudia-Marie will be the top money making Gilf in the world.
Damn, can't you just imagine the fan base of a pornstar who could string together a career of that length? They'd be The Rolling Stones of porn.
