Yes, it very much is a double standard. The press completely ignored Chelsea Clinton (just as it should have). If Kathleen Sebelius were called a "slutty airline attendant" heads would roll and women's groups would march.
Palin and her children are targets because of their politics, and because the American Left is ruthless.
Palin is a true reformer, and Alaska is the better for it, and our country would be better with her in national office.
However, the whole Bristol Palin abstinence campaign is absurd. Yes, it is completely ridiculous that Bristol Palin is arguing for abstinence so soon on the heels of her teen pregnancy. She should have stayed home with her baby and kept her mouth shut.
The bottom line: Letterman was way out of line.
