They are crap! Was at the Kino Flow warehouse/factory/showroom last Thursday and was asking about the LED lighting for whole sets. I know that about 2 years ago Kino Flo was getting into the LED lighting market.
The tech and the west coast sales rep were there and told me that Kino Flow who did a distrabution deal with the company that makes all of the LED lights for sets, backed out of the deal after 2 years of getting reports of the lights going down on set.
The lights worked great and did not change temperature when turned up and turned down, but was not solid and dependable as florescent lights. They were very expensive and always seemed yo came back.
Kino Flo started getting a bad wrap for the LED failures on major motion picture sets. I was told the Kino Flo owner said "fuck this" and took back all of the LED lights that Kino Flo sold and sent them all back to where they came from.
The Tech told me they would be very good if they did not constantly fail.
