I agree that all of the delays seem crazy. With the internet now so readily available people all over the world see things and hear about things at the same time. I can understand to some degree a delay in TV shows. Most TV shows make it overseas through syndication and they normally have to wait until the show has at least 100 episodes to do that. So that can take some time. But it makes no sense at all with movies. If the movie is hot there is no doubt people in other countries would want to see it and if they know it is going to be a couple of years until they can see it many will just download it from a torrent site. If they distributed the movies in these other countries at the same time (or as we said offer some kind of pay per view model online) they could get sales then instead of losing them to people who otherwise turn to torrents.
