9/11 was awful. But going over it every year isn't helping. I feel that it's time to let people remember in their own way. IE we will all think about it and remember, but not do the memorial and bump the thread every year. I also think that Brits need to let the 7/7 bombings go.

This sounds awful and un-caring - it's not. I walked next to an IRA bomb less than hour before it went off so I know what terrorism can do. That shit me up for a long time. I also lost a friend in a nail bombing that was targetted at a London gay bar. Neither of these are as "big" as 9/11 but the priniciple is the same. By going over it so often, we are spreading fear and letting terroists interfere with out lives.

That's wrong. You can't let them win.

We have to fight back by remembering, but also by sticking two fingers up and NOT giving their pathetic "cause" a whole day of publicity every year.
