Regarding the speed bump - I always wondered why they didn't have some mini-rail coming up from under the floor once the train leaves that would remain until the next one comes in. This way, it would prevent things from rolling off, blind people to walk and fall into (for places that don't have the bumpy markings) etc...

I know I have been bumped from behind in my chair and had my front wheels damn near fall off the edge, which without quick reflexes = head over onto tracks.
Especially as the train approaches, cause people push forward. Yet as a double suck you almost have to be up front in a chair to make sure you can even get on the damn train.
