It would've been so much better if only you'd posted it yourself I think. People know you, so they might've reacted with less skepticism about it. It gave the impression that they were new, anonymous or at least trying to conceal who they were.
Now that I know differently, and re-read the first post.. the idea sounds pretty interesting.
