mmm... well, i for one don't mind getting into some violent sexgames behind closed doors, but only if the women in question is into it as well; hard bondage, whipping, nipple/breast torture, labia stitching, etc. etc.. i can honestly say i've never struck a women in any way, shape or form out of rage or during an argument, period.
so, in answer to your question, i'd have to say that no, one doesn't preclude the other necessarily... now, if the guy in question is *forcing* his ladyfriend into rough sex-acts, thats very different..
