As a small business employer, health care for myself and my employees is very important to me. We offer 100% paid health coverage to our employees. Accordingly, I have watched the healthcare debate very closely for many years.

Political parties are really tools of the industrial-financial elite. Big money backs both parties; and, they are only interested in helping the common folk if it furthers their respective agendas.

For example, the Insurance Industry is dropping over a million dollars a day on the Republicans trying to kill the Health Reform Bill in order to protect their lucrative position as gatekeeper between patients and doctors. On the other hand, the Democrats are hoping for a big payback at the poles in the 2012 election. Both side are working for their own interests.

Lies, scare tactics and bags of cash don't seem to be working so far for the insurance industry as most people realize that the current system is broke and only works for those who can really afford the expenses. In a down economy, that is fewer and fewer people.

The Senate, where big money really has a lot of influence, will be much more interesting to watch as the debate plays out.
