Yes you fucked up.. BIG time. You could have admitted on the first few pages that what you did was wrong and pay the guy. Instead you let the thread go for almost 20 pages with 100's of upset webmasters. Still you would not admit that you were in fact stealing, and kept your whole "money for nothing" arrogant attitude.
Thread got deleted (how convenient) but drama wouldn't go away. Your excuse/apology came way too late to be taken seriously.
Yes you paid the guy.. because you were FORCED to pay him. Not because you regret what you did, but because it was in your best interest before loosing more affiliates and money.
