After this show you will make a thread asking what you could improve in your show. Affiliates will give you advices, but the next year you won't take note of what they said.

Hey man...I got to say there have always only been a very small percentage of affiliates who actually kick ass. Both then and now. The first show I attended was one in Miami (pre-internext) in 1998. And even then there weren't a whole lot of "real" affiliates. Matter of fact it was mostly companies like Pornholio selling feeds, hosting companies, and content companies.
One of the memories I have is me, AL4A, and Patrick (the hun) sitting all alone at the lobby bar while everyone was outside for the Pornholio wet t-shirt contest.
How many affiliates with REAL traffic (not "seo gurus" sending google traffic or buying ad words), but REAL traffic that they have coming from their own branded sites exist anyway?
Not many. Just the same guys that had it then. And these days we don't have as much traffic as we used to thanks to sites like Pornhub and the like (who can blame the surfer? A choice between looking at hosted galleries or seeing full scenes)
The reality for us as affiliates is this: We don't have as much traffic. A single deal cut between program owners can get 10 times the amount of traffic and 100 times the amount of joins than you or I could ever send.
So...do you just sit home while the industry passes you by? HELL NO.
Even though the shows are much smaller now because sponsors can't afford to do much these days...I have still made a LOT of money at them. And just like it was 12 years ago, it is today: Most of the money...the REAL money is made at the parties. NOT the "seminars" or "conferences". I've literally made 7 figures at 3 in the morning at parties.
That is where you get things done. Not saying that things don't get done at the stuffy "business" parts of the convention...but lots more gets done at parties than outsiders who haven't been to many shows realize.
