I dont think facebook is the alternative, i think its the change in direction and nature of the web from being a search and find based system to a socially suggested based system, that is why twitter integration and facebook like etc are so important to mainstream companies, as the social suggestion nature of the web is creating a "new" search that is based on a hierarchy of user suggestions. I really believe now is the time to push your review site if you have one up and really integrate it into the social culture and norm.
