Okay, well, I've bought traffic in the past with horrible results. LOL Geo-targeted traffic from Traffic Holder and a couple others. I've sent that traffic directly to my paysites (worthless) and then to my Network site, where all 35+ of my sites are displayed. Again, worthless. So I don't think buying traffic will work for me, unless you have some specific advice/principles that would help (I can't afford to just buy and buy, hoping I'm choosing the right type of traffic, niche, geo, etc).
Since I'm asking I'll include Point #2 (which is more broad and may be of interest to more people):
I've notcied, since about April, that I'm starting to see wild sales swings. For example, Fellucia Blow is incredibly consistent, amazingly so, with her traffic. For months and months she would average about 1:500 conversion rate, with steady sales of around 15-20+ a day. There would also be days where she would make 40+ sales when the traffic was super-heavy.
Now, I'm seeing good days like i described above immediately followed by 'dead days'. So: Tuesday gets 22 sales, Wednesday gets 3! By Thursday the 'average' returns. But I've never seen days like these before! And they're happening every week.
Finally, what I've noticied and done is switch my cc processors, basicly 'toggle' between CCBill and Epoch when i notice one of those 'dead days'. Yesterday was one such day; 12 hours with CCBill got 2 sales - 3 hours with Epoch got 4 sales!
So what do you think is going on? I'd love to stick with one cc processor and stop all this confusing switching but it's how i seem to make the most $; leave it with one processer all week long and I get 5 good days, 2 shitty ones. I'm thinking it's a put-through issue, or scrubbing, or Visa, or the banks...LOL
Thanks mate!

For buying traffic from a broker you need to be on teh stop button at all times, ie if you get 1000 clicks from one and no results stop order and find another site try that one etc. You will also need a way more agressive site, with a console, and other things to really try and PUSH that traffic to make you more than it costs, its possible just needs lots of work. If you dont have the time dont work on it.
On this it happens at all volumes, what I started doing was filtering my traffic to processors all day everyday(I use 5 to 6) I choose and then push specific billers based on a lot of criteria including load time of my join form, the ping response of that server at the processor, thru put of transactions, join form submits, and other data that i use on the fly. The swing you notice is to be expected and happens to everyone you will have days your site gets more interested parties than others, just like a car dealer doesnt have day in and day out equal sales.
Hope that helps.
