Read some actual Vietnam history for a change and stop getting your "resources" from YouTube. It was a highly unpopular war and the politicians put so many restrictions on the leaders on the ground as to how & when they could operate and with what level of force throughout the entire war that "winning" was not possible. This is not my opinion, it is fact. It is documented history.
We won every single battle in Vietnam, yet still lost the war. Why? Because of this rule: When the tactics are right, but the strategy is wrong, battles will be won, but the war will be lost. And who are the people in charge of the strategy? Washington.
I recommend you read "Vietnam At War" The History 1946-1975 by Phillip B. Davidson
It is an excellent history covering all three stages of the Indochina wars.
