All the talk on GFY had me curious about MFC. And some of the guys earlier in the thread told me to give it a shot. And even though common sense and experience kinda told me what would happen...you never really know until you try.

I was really hoping that I would be wrong and CM would make thousands of dollars an hour. But I had a feeling that wouldn't be the case. I think with a few weeks of working MFC she could match what she makes on Streamate by building up some followers.
But I can't match the combined money we make with Streamate from her work + my affiliate money I make with them. Kinda sucks because I can't promote her being on MFC through our members and my free sites and viral marketing on social networks. So I lose half the income potential. |
I commend you for giving mfc a shot and checking it out from a model's perspective. I think most of the hoopla from gfy is simply from a surfer's perspective, even though I'm not sure why now all of a sudden its getting hyped when mfc has been around for some time. There's quite a few tips and tricks to maximizing CM's time on mfc and you shouldn't think of mfc as being an alternative to streamate, but rather as an additional income source.
Seasoned models on mfc that have their own solo site use any chance to promote their own url and mfc doesn't seem to have a problem with it like most other cam networks. You can have your CM url posted at the bottom of your cam or use the mfc chat bot to scroll your url periodically throughout her cam session. Letting mfc surfers know that they can watch CM in hardcore guy/girl videos and then directing them to your url would be a great way to pump in a bunch of new members. You can be broadcasting on streamate and mfc simultaneously and when a streamate private comes, have CM broadcast that on mfc and let the tips flow in while she's doing the private show. I've seen models broadcast their one hour hardcore Camz show on mfc simultaneously. Heck, you could even broadcast your member's area cam show live on mfc simultaneously and make some easy tips.
The key to model success on mfc is to always be near the top of the list as most surfers sort their list by rating. The popular models get the surfers to go into their profile and rate them pushing them towards the top of the list. My guess is that the top 10% on the list make 80% of the overall tips. Once a model gets their rating up and is near the top of the list and starts to attract a large viewing audience it can really steamroll from there. Its not without coincidence that the models near the top of the list also happen to be the ones who show the most in free chat. Once a model learns to be aggressive and also work the group mode the tips get better. Some models refuse to go into private mode because they can make more just showing in free mode. CM could simply use mfc as an additional income stream without really having to invest much more time than she already is.
