I know Peace does know what he is talking about when he talks about 3D cameras and rigs. He is doing you a serious favor when he tells you that the Panasonic camera is a poor choice for shooting porn in 3D.

I will bet any amount of money that the Panasonic DVD Demo DVD was defiantly not shot with the Panasonic 3D camera. Peace will back me up on that.

Yea i agree with you too, but both are shot the same way. Anaglyph and polarized are outputted formats not video quality types.

No you couldn't. If its not gen-locked your vid will drift, then ghost, then cause the viewer eye strain, then comes the head ache, then comes the bad name for 3D because it was shot poorly. You absolutely cannot Genlock 2 $100 cameras.

What videos dis you see? Close ups? No. You saw great panoramas )))

Anaglieh is 3D format. has nothing to do with 3D quality
Very on point.

To anyone who thinks shooting 3D is as simple as buying a 3D camera or using 2 cameras, I wish you luck. You will need it.

If you dont know what a "Stereographer" is, "parallax" is or what % you need not exceed on your "parallax", What a "Convergence Point" is or how to set your "convergence" point, "Zero Point" (which the Panasonic 3D camera cannot hit) "Interocular", "interaxial" or what is "Ghosting" and how to prevent it, you will loose a shitload of money and ruin your reputation as a content shooter. Or even worse make people distrust 3D by outputting out shit 3D. There absolutely is no "fixing it in post" solution when you shoot 3D.

3D is very hard and difficult to shoot and very complex to light. There is no Sony VX2100 green and go solution for it. You need to know your shit inside and out or hire a Stereographer for every shoot.

Dont get me started on the whole editing process of 3D, that is a whole thread in itself. Very difficult and a very complex way of editing and outputting good 3D. Hundred of pitfalls when editing this stuff. You almost need a mainstream editor to put these clips together properly and without eye strain issues. And that is assuming that it was shot properly.

And to you people who think 3D is just a passing fad, thats great, keep thinking that, suits me fine.
