Just a little bit of info I thought I would drop-

Pap smears only test for abnormal cervical cells, they don't test if a woman is positive or negative for HPV. You have to request additional testing.

Also in the US health insurance won't cover the HPV vaccine if you are over 26, and as it hasn't been medically approved for women over 26 most doctors don't want to give it to you even if you are willing to pay out of pocket.

The vaccine is a series of shots given over a 3 month period. You have to go through the test to make sure you're completely HPV negative first and then the doc has to apply to your insurance carrier to make sure it will be covered, so if you want to get it you need to have at least 4 months to spare before your 26th b-day.
