It took Reagan 28 MONTHS to get unemployment rate back down below 8%.
so whats this thread about again?

OK, lets play a little shall we?
The unemployment rate is the amount of people on Unemployment, Correct?
Back when Reagan was president, you lost your benefits after 6 months and you were taken off that percentage.
so Current unemployment rate is based on people that have lost their jobs in the last two years.
During Reagan's time it was people that lost their jobs in the last 6 months
Since the % is about the same, that would indicate that the numbers were worse during Reagan's time, yet he did some solid things that got people working, still waiting on Obama, but if they keep extending the benefits, you can never compare them really
I find it funny that if you're going to compare the two presidents, you would leave out they are doing completely different approaches to saving the economy
Also since you've brought it up, Clinton played with the numbers as well by including the military
