My wife and I recently finished a week-long health outreach program in provincial jails here in the Philippines--we give out health seminars/supplies/medicines as well as coordinating with dentists and doctors to give inmates health and dental services. I can vouch for the stories those free6 guys are talking about. One inmate I spoke with has been in jail for TEN YEARS waiting for a hearing. No charges yet. Just waiting for his day in court. Most of these guys are in "holding" jail for years. If you think that's rough--they used to jail kids along with adults in the same facilities until international pressure made jail authorities segregate the juvenile offenders from the adults.
The interesting thing about cam operations here in the Philippines is there's really no law banning it so many cops lean on some women to say they were "trafficked" into doing camwork since there's an anti-trafficking law.
