And whats to stop economic profiling? A cop sees a BMW 7 series going 8 mph over or a piece of shit doing 15 mph over the limit. Who do you think he's pulling over with this law? The one he can get $50 out of or the one that is going to rake in $1,000+?

Or we could just say the truth.. going more than double the speed limit is reckless endangerment, which can be a federal offence in America. This guy was doing more than double the speed limit. So really, no reason to discuss the guy going 11, 20 or even 50 mph over as those situations spark up other various levels of the law already.
So yes, going more than double the speed limit should allow for different levels of fines, possible jail times, community services, and so on - which it also already does in America. I see nothing wrong with a person getting a million dollar fine, that benefiting the community/state, and that person able to go back into society and keep producing wealth. They aren't a criminal, but they should be taught a lesson that slaps them back into this reality without sending them to a paid vacation resort 'jail' for the rich.
