read about SWIFT or why the US demands all personal data of all people who travel to the US before they even step on the plane.
but it's not the US alone, just look at the insane amounts of cameras in England or the ideas of the german government about monitoring and recording data of all internet activity.
everything because of the "terrorist threat" and people comply cause they think they are safer this way.
i could go on for a while but i am not wasting my sunday on that.

Well...in my case...I do not travel internationally anymore...and I do not fly domestically anymore...and a small part of the reason is because of the additional bullshit that one has to go through...to do both...but the freedom to travel internationally is still there and the freedom to travel domestically is still there (at least in the U.S.).
Other than the additional hassle in international travel and domestic commercial flight...I for one am not aware of any loss of freedom since 9/11. I do the very same things that I did prior to 9/11.
