True that did spur a lot of growth but people are now used to not being able to change their profile because of facebook. If they wanted to they could get a few 1000 profile types made and host them themselves which should cut down on slow loading pages that rely on loading graphic after graphic from 3rd party websites.

Something like that...I realize that people are used to FB now but changing MySpace to be exactly like Facebook would be a huge mistake given they would have to somehow regain people. TBH I'm not even sure they shouldn't just rehaul it into a completely new site and do away with a profile site altogether...there hasn't really been a case yet of a social media site dropping off the map that's been able to regain stature.
