you completely missed the entire point but at least you agree they should b tried before a court system. The huge problem is the people waterboarded were not found guilty in civilian court OR military court. You seem to miss a few steps in procedure these details are important. You find someone guilty THEN you punish them not the other way around.

again you completely miss the point, the punishment has nothing to do with the problem. Killing someone is hardly punishment. the part thats hard to understand is how you equate 30% reliance on outside oil to no wars, there was plenty of wars during the carter administration. so your statement of if we don't want wars we should go to a time when we relied on 30% oil and there was lots of wars makes no sense.
