Even the infamous DP forum has reputation working. Its because they have rules of no asking for reputation and no such threads "post a pic and I will rep you" or "green nicks lets exchange reps". It sounds funny saying that gfy should look at DP and implement but its simple.
By the way funny thing I posted it some time ago:

and got some red reps for the post. Looked like some fools just like to have it like a fun system and not like real rep system.
On the other hand I don't think its possible even with decent rules, because "bros" still will be repping "bros" because they are bros and not because their post made sence and so on and on
