Canada isn't far behind, Amp. Our airport security is run by our government (since 2002), and there's a bit of a mess about public servants groping young girls going around the news right now. Out of court settlements = my tax dollars at work. Don't ask for your government to take over security - it won't improve the situation.

$2.2 billion Canadian taxpayers pay (its an old article, too - its worse now) for airport security in a pissant country like Canada. Pissant = small population and small taxpayer base. Its a heavy fucking per-capita tax burden with next to no benefits.

I almost want to move to a developing country. I'd rather our government spend the money on airplanes and warships and started killing shit and turning back illegal "refugees". Better bang for my buck - and a lot more entertaining.
