Sending out and calculating tons of hidden tags vs just sending an id for each gallery and having the server return only whatever gallery info is needed.

But seriously, you may have a valid point there. Perhaps i have gone over the edge. In my development version the images are now being served by apache, php no longer processes them.
I will look into sending out an $.post request when selecting a gallery. See if it helps initial page load and doesnt create other problems.

Well, this site is being developed to serve as a template for any niche i can think of. As it is, this site is the first of several ( for now 5) planned websites.
It has admin functionality where you can unzip & import new galleries, add descriptions & titles, add & remove keywords, activate and deactivate individual photos and alot more!
Lol, look at me, selling my own website.... too myself!

Oh, i forgot. I dont know why i keep forgetting to use YSlow but i thought of it today and noticed that my live version had a total weight of 1462,5K and loaded ( for me ) in 2.61s.
On my developement source it was down to 875K in 1.679s.
With your suggestions, i hope to bring the total weight even lower.
