The funny thing is that he obviously thought people would applaud him for this. Realistically, he probably was helping local farmers. I know firsthand how trouble animals can make life for a farmer a pain in the ass. As a hunter raised on a farm myself I can understand how legally sanctioned hunts and biologists can work out good functional programs for culling trouble animals.
What I don't understand is how he thought this was going to play out in his favor whatsoever. For what I would have to assume is a pretty keen businessman, to do something like this and expect praise for it, this seems like utter retardation. Really now. you shoot a fucking elephant, and post a video of the butchering?
I think the obvious outcome that we're seeing now should have been pretty easy to predict. I'm just laughing at what a stupid fucking maneuver this was on Parson's part...
