It depends.

In one way it's trademark infringement and could be worth a lawsuit. Companies might decide fight to get the domain ownership back to them.

Then again, small companies could not afford to do it and instead might decide to team up with them to make money ("If you can't beat them, join them").

Then again the person who stole your name and is trying to make money with it adds insult to injury by offering to be your affiliate today, might dictate new terms tomorrow, etc. He's a dick, and nobody should do business with them.

According to the XXX registry website companies who own existing .com's might be grandfathered in, making domain squatting harder to do so this might be a non issue at least for a little while.
