There will never be a game like UO, and its impossible to describe what made the game so damn awesome to anyone that never played.
There is a free UO server I recently found out about, www.inporylem.com. Surprisingly a fairly large playerbase (2k+) clients. Its amazing what you remember about the game even after 10 years. I still remembered damn near the entire map, Brit Xroads what!

Seige Perilous for the win, yes, people of todays MMOs often have no idea how influential UO was.
Brit Xroads, damn!!!! yeah its been awhile, I will check it out. UO started my PVP only love of gameplay, i hate mobiles i only enjoy killing other players, back when being "red" was something to be proud of.
WOW is so carebear, i wish in WOW you could take the items off the players you kill, UO was awesome for that!!!
