I think it's easier to have priorities in order when success is already there. That's kind of where I was going with that. It's easy to ignore the little people when you are doing well. When you are the little person, you scratch, bite, gouge, punch, kick and do everything you can to not be the little guy anymore. Success doesn't come through being the nice guy. Happy feelings and contentment, sure, but success requires a lot of tough moments and you never know what they will be until they are right there.

Anyways..... I wasn't calling you out personally on the successful vs little guy quote, it was more a generality regarding many personalities on this board. I can sympathize with Eddie somewhat as it can be very tough to try and do something on the up and up, but many of the comments come back outside of that realm and realistically are more of a personal attack than they are saying "Hey, your photography sucks." Rumor, innuendo and whisperings can destroy a reputation and career and it's incredible how much of that is taken as fact on GFY. I'd probably fight back too if it was me, but then again, I do my damndest to protect the living hell out of my reputation cause it's all I've got.
However, on the other hand, you are 100% right in letting the product do the talking. It would be wise to just push business and leave the rest alone. Very tough to do though if it feels like the entire world is attacking and out to get you. I would recommend a judicious use of the Ignore feature if I were him. I'm pretty sure those people won't be doing business with him anyway, so why even listen to them?
