I received my electric bill and there was an error
...on it in my favor. My current bill had me owing zero amount and in addition gave me a credit. After looking the bill over I realized that they had me down as having paid last months bill twice which I did not do. I called them and explained the situation and the lady chose to argue with me and insisted that I must have payed the bill twice last month. She was beginning to piss me off so I asked to speak with a supervisor and after speaking with the supervisor she asked me to stay on hold while she looked into it. I was on hold so long that I was on the verge of hanging up...when she came back on line and informed me that she had tracked it down and it was indeed an error.
The local office has been closed down for renovation and a video store has been accepting the payments for the electric company and the person that accepted my payment...for whatever the reason...had made the mistake when entering the payment in the computer.
After having been basically insulted by the first lady I am not sure that I will inform them should it happen again with an error in my favor.
